We have developed this part of our business dramatically since trying to demolish a road bridge over the railway on the Norwich to London line with just two Massey Ferguson MF450 Excavators, without a Hydraulic Breaker on site!
Trusting to faith and luck worked on that occasion, but it was clear we had to improve. This continual improvement process has helped us develop into one of the leading exponents of bridge demolition in the country.
Since that start, we have demolished over 180 bridges of all shape and size including:

We have also been engaged by Network Rail (in its previous incarnations) on particularly sensitive projects such as the clean up operation after the disaster at St John`s Wood in London when a brick multi arch bridge collapsed prematurely, during demolition, causing fatalities.
CDC attended site, made the structure safe and removed all the resultant rubble before returning the safe in a safe condition to the client.
On another occasion, we had to attend site and clean up after a concrete building collapsed on two workers, following vibration from a passing train.
Latterly, we have been employed on a consultancy basis to vet and approve proposed method statements for the demolition of a two bridges on the A40 Western Avenue Project in West London.
